YKK North and Central America Group Community Service Projects

In line with the YKK Group Environmental Pledge, which states, “It is recognized today as being a most important duty for all humankind that we preserve the abundantly endowed global environment and that we transfer it to the next generation in a sound condition,” YKK North and Central America Group takes part in numerous environmental community service projects.

Our biggest annual activity is participation in the YKK Group’s global Tree Planting Day, which has taken place on June 5 (World Environment Day) every year since 2008. In addition, every year employees at the YKK (U.S.A.) Inc. National Manufacturing Center in Macon, Georgia, participate in Ocmulgee Alive!, a program in which employees from local businesses help to clean up the Ocmulgee River that runs through Macon. The employees at YKK AP America Inc. also help clean up the Oconee River that runs through Dublin, Georgia as part of the Rivers Alive program in Dublin, Georgia.
