This summer we welcomed four interns to different offices within the North and Central America region. Throughout the next few months we will be sharing interviews with them as they tell us about their experiences working at YKK Corporation of America.
Meet Cosmos Cha, one of our summer business development interns. He is a senior at Georgia State University majoring in Finance. Some of his hobbies include plant cultivation, hiking, and jogging. During his internship, Cosmos spent most of his time doing research and working with different teams within the organization to learn more about YKK’s sustainability initiatives. He enjoyed learning about the different stages involved in the research and development of YKK products. He shares, “There is a lot more that goes into developing zippers and fasteners than I imagined.”
When asked what were some of the key takeaways from his experience, Cosmos shared, “This internship allowed me to develop communications, networking and presentation skills. I learned how to prospect, organize, and present data and information appropriate for a large corporation.”
One of Cosmo’s projects during his internship was to work with the communications department to create a social media video highlighting YKK’s sustainability initiatives. Watch below!
